Alabama coaches name 8 players of the week

Alabama coaches selected eight players of the week after the team's win over Texas A&M on Saturday.

Those players:

OFFENSE

Senior running back Damien Harris

Harris had 100 yards from scrimmage, running for a team-high 52 yards on seven carries and catching two passes for 48 yards.

Junior tight end Irv Smith

Smith posted a career-high four catches for a career-best 74 yards.

Sophomore QB Tua Tagovailoa

Tagovailoa threw for the fifth-most yards in Alabama school history and tied the school single-game record for touchdowns despite not playing in the fourth quarter. He was 22 of 28 for a career-high 387 yards with four touchdown passes and no interceptions while also running for a score.

DEFENSE

Senior defensive lineman Isaiah Buggs

Buggs posted seven tackles, four stops for a loss, 3.5 sacks and two additional quarterback pressures.

Redshirt junior outside linebacker Anfernee Jennings

Jennings recorded three tackles, 2.5 stops for a loss and 1.5 sacks.

Sophomore inside linebacker Dylan Moses

Moses had a team-high nine tackles, including one for a loss.

SPECIAL TEAMS

Redshirt freshman kicker Joseph Bulovas

Bulovas had a career-long 47-yard field goal and was 6 for 6 on extra points.

Sophomore wide receiver Henry Ruggs

Ruggs contributed on the kick coverage teams.
