April 17 (SeeNews) - North Macedonia's government said it has selected the current universal electricity supplier, EVN Macedonia, along with its subsidiary EVN Macedonia Elektrosnabduvanje, as the winner of a tender for universal supplier of electricity on the regulated market for the next five years.
EVN Macedonia, together with its subsidiary, offered the lowest gross supply margin during an electronic auction, North Macedonia's government said in a press release on Tuesday.
EVN Macedonia is a unit of Austrian energy group EVN.
ESM Prodazba, a unit of the power utility Elektrani na Severna Makedonija (ESM), and a consortium comprising local electricity trader and suppliers Energy Delivery Solutions (EDS) and Pan Intertrade also participated in the tender, the government said in an earlier statement.
