ISLAMABAD: Criticising Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal said that the theory of “satianas and beragharq” would not work now.
In a tweet, he said the government’s effective policies had eliminated darkness, adding that the rivals were making false propaganda of energy crisis in the country. The federal minister said that 27km Lahore Metro was constructed at the cost of Rs30 billion whereas 26km Peshawar Metro was being built at the cost of Rs 57 billion. Addressing the PTI chairman, he said the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa were aware of his (Imran Khan) false propaganda.
PPI adds: In an interview with state-run TV, Ahsan Iqbal said that chronic issue of loadshedding has been eliminated from the country while opposition is raising baseless reports of power crisis.
He said Pakistan will become an industrial hub of South Asia after completion of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project. To a question the minister said the government with its effective policies reduced terrorist acts, overcome energy shortage and improved law and order situation in the country. He said some 11500MW electricity was added to the national grid during the last four years due to which the chronic issue of loadshedding has been eliminated from the country. He said that opposition is spreading baseless news of power crisis in the country.
He said China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) is a game changer not only for Pakistan but for the entire region. Ahsan Iqbal said CPEC would bring mega improvement in various sectors including energy, industrial cooperation, infrastructure, development besides creating millions of job opportunities for the countrymen.
